HMBMDC Rescue Report ~
29 August 2007

The newsletter will be out soon with our updates, but I wanted to tell you of our 2 current fosters.

We have a 22 month old female named “Gracie”, and a 21 month old male named “Brutus” Both are very nice dogs for a change! Both are from Amish breeders, although not the same one.

Gracie is a very energetic female that is spayed. She acts like a puppy and wants to play and wrestle all day. She loved all the dogs and wants to
meet everyone that come over, very social. Gracie was given up due to allergies of one of the owners children. She has basic obedience, but needs a
refresher, we think. She is very active and would do well with an active family or a tolerant, youthful playmate. No temperament issues that we have seen in about 2 weeks she has been here. She is about 80 pounds, nice markings and cute. She loves toys and will entertain herself when everyone else would rather sleep. She also has great cuddle times and is always at you feet.

Brutus (Brutty) is a VERY sweet dog that is a timid with new people. He is very affectionate and has gotten very attached to us in 2 weeks (actually
it only took him a day to bond tight with me). He was given up because his owner was starting a long uphill battle with health issues and was concerned
that he would be neglected. He had indications of this starting already. His coat was missing from his legs and tail and a lot of thin spots everywhere
else. It turned out he had a very bad infestation of fleas. He was intact, now both the fleas and the neuter have been taken care of. He is the only one that
can handle Gracie’s playfulness. He is sooo patient with her. He loves the cats and has adopted our bed as his nap place. He also has normal markings although a very narrow blaze between the eyes.

Both are house broken and have run of our house. We have come home to a few toys that mysteriously "exploded" while we were gone.

If you would like more information about either dog, feel free to contact us.
